Our vehicles can be costly, and for that reason, we all want to take good care of them and make sure we can get as much life out of them as possible. 1. Myth #1 Tune-ups How often should you have your vehicle tuned up? Do you know? A couple of weeks ago, a colleague of mine sent me an email noted “Important Notice not a joke”. Normally, this would have been sent immediately to my trash bin, but since I actually knew this guy I decided to go ahead and give it a look. Based on his email, he’s seemed to be extremely excited about an opportunity that he considered to be a “gift” from his well-trusted friend (keywords) and naturally he wanted to pass it along to others. So I listened to a 2-minute and a 20-minute recording, curious to see if I would reach that same level of excitement as he did. Well did I? Not so much?

Fast-forward two weeks later?

As I prepared to attend my daughter’s basketball game, I received a phone call. I wasn’t sure who it was, but the number shared the same area code as mine so I answered it. It was him calling from his landline (that explains why his caller ID didn’t show up?smh). I already suspected what he’d might say, so I just prepared myself for the “pitch”.

“Hey, Mike! Did you get my email that I sent to you a couple of weeks ago? What did you think?”

“Different person, different opportunity, but similar pitch.” (Well, this is what I thought to myself anyways)

So I asked him what I typically ask everyone else that presents me with a new opportunity, “What kind of marketing does this company have in place for its distributors?”

The reason I asked him this question is because I find that most companies out there would rather “hype” you into their opportunity rather than actually train you on how to market that business should you decide to join.

Here are a couple of things that I believe many of you will see when searching for Narc That Car Reviews on the internet:

1. People bashing Narc Technologies or any network marketing company for that matter. There are those who will never understand the network marketing industry and would rather dish out all sorts of negative comments regarding the industry. They believe everything is a scam and would rather complain about having no money, yet refuse to take action. 2. People who have built successful organizations in their own companies and have decided to coach others to do the same with various e-books, webinars, etc. It’s not uncommon for them to sponsor people effortlessly into their organization. 3. Narc That Car distributors explaining how great their company is, their exciting compensation plan, or what leaders are a part of their company.

If you have been introduced to Narc Technologies and are considering joining, I’ve taken a look into the company and want to give you an unbiased review and why I personally decided not to join. (?and no I’m not telling you that you shouldn’t join)

What Is Narc Technologies? Narc Technologies is a Dallas, Texas based company that has been in business since 2005. Ford, Nissan, Toyota, and other finance companies have been getting assistance from Narc Technologies to locate delinquent vehicles from a network of thousands of consultants (being you) who will submit license plate numbers into a national data base.

What Is Required Of A Narc Consultant?

This part seems fairly simple. As a Narc Consultant, it is your responsibility to write down 10 random license plate numbers per month from grocery stores, shopping malls, restaurants, apartment complexes, etc. After the information has been submitted, lien holders will crosscheck their information from their super-confidential “Watch List”. (Ok, I’m reaching a little bit.) Consultants of this company may become offended for me saying this, but it almost seems as if you are being paid to become a snitch.

How Is A Narc Consultant Compensated?

There are 2 primary ways that a consultant can get paid. A commission will be paid every month when ten new license plate numbers are entered or when new consultants are sponsored, management overrides will be received based on their production. However, from viewing the comp. plan it seems that you will absolutely need to have a fairly large organization if you are planning on receiving a nice-sized monthly income. Downline attrition combined with the inability to sponsor new reps on a consistent basis will quickly put you out of business if you’re not taking action.

Should You Join Narc That Car?

This is entirely up to you. However, I would advise that you evaluate this company thoroughly and make a smart business decision. Don’t make a silly decision to jump on board just because you attended one of those hotel-hype meetings and got overly excited about the opportunity. Is Narc Technologies A Legit Business?

You have to wonder if randomly selected license plates from narc consultants will hold any significance to the repo agencies. How do you actually know if they are actually paying for the license plate information that is being entered into the national data base?or is the real cashflow coming from the constant recruiting of people combined with the $24.95 monthly website fee?

So, is this company a scam?

Well I wouldn’t go that far, but seeing that there isn’t much of a product involved has made me raise an eyebrow. In order to make an substantial income with this company, the emphasis is placed on recruiting rather than the selling of products?and well you be the judge.

Why I Wouldn’t Join This Company

#1 -I would more than likely never join a company that doesn’t actually show its distributors how to market their opportunity. One thing that a lot of network marketing companies are missing is a duplicatable system in place for its distributors. (Telling anyone with a pulse and getting them to tell anyone with a pulse about your opportunity is NOT a system!) Narc That Car is no different. Systems can be duplicated, people cannot (Just ask McDonald’s). All of that “you get 3 and help them get their 3 and so forth” is out of the window.

#2 – 95% of companies fail in their first 2 years and their Network Marketing Go Live was started in July of 2009 so personally I wouldn’t invest in a company that hasn’t shown me some type of stability. However given their low start-up fee of somewhere in the range of $75-$100, you wouldn’t be losing too much if the company takes a turn for the worse.

Look if you’re a were thinking about joining this company and came across this review, understand that it’s not meant to sway you in either direction. If you join I wish you much success for you and your family. Take out the time to learn how to market effectively and literally explode your Narc Business. Prevent additional credit card charges on car rental.

First of all, you must understand how the total price you pay is calculated. Everything starts with the daily base rate this is the rate you pay for the daily use of the car excluding all other charges. It doesnt mean that this is the price you pay!

Instead, you may find your total bill is double of that of the base rate. Extra mandatory charges like GST, airport location surcharges, administration fees, vehicle registration fees are all part of the total bill given to you at the rental counter. I cant stress enough the importance of getting a bill at the end of your rental, but this is another story. So, by the time all the extra charges are added onto your bill, you may find yourself paying almost double that seductive base rate.

To give you an example, a friend of mine rented a car in Australia with a base rate around $177 for four days. The final total? Including a vehicle registration fee, admin fee, airport location surcharge, a surcharge for not filling the gas tank, and a GST on top of all those other charges, my friend paid about $358 – more than a 100 percent increase over the base rate.

So how can you avoid nasty surprises? Below you can find a list of standard surcharges you’re most likely to find at most car rental locations in Australia, as well as some tips for your next trip to the car rental counter.

Airport and GST Surcharges

The majority of car rental transactions happen at the airports around the country. Airport surcharge is something that car rental supplier has no control over and it varies considerably from one airport to another. Therefore, when you pick the car up from the airport you should expect to pay between 3 and 18 percent extra on top of other charges. Unfortunately, you can’t avoid paying GST, which can will add 10 percent. This liability can be further reduced by paying an extra daily charge of between $25 and $27. However, since the price of insurance is almost half of what you pay for you car, I recommend that you check your credit card/travel/car insurance to make sure it doesnt cover you in a rental car.

Gasoline Charges

For your convenience most car rental companies provide cars with a full tank of fuel, however, be assured that if you dont return the car with a full tank you will pay a higher price for petrol used to fill up the empty tank. However, most car rental companies now offer the option of purchasing a full tank of gas when you first take the car, enabling you to return the car with as much or as little fuel as you wish.

Please note that there is no refund for unused fuel, so its likely youll be paying a little extra for the convenience of skipping the trip to the gas station.

Drop-Off Charges

An extra fee is usually charged if a car is returned to a different location than where it was picked up. This fee varies by location; in some instances there is no charge, while you could pay $300 or more for cross-country drop-offs. However, some companies do not require a charge when dropping off in-state at many Queensland and New South Wales locations.

The 24-Hour Clock

Car rental industry operates on a 24-hour clock rate. However, there is also a 59-minute grace period before hourly charges apply. To give you an example, if you rent a car at 12:00pm on Tuesday and return it by 12:59pm on Wednesday, you will be charged for one day only. However, if you return the car after 27 hours (in this case after 15:00) you’ll then be charged for the full extra day. Hourly charges apply between 25-27 hours.

Early Returns

When you rent a car for a particular number of days, you sign a sale contract for that period. So, just like with any other contracts out there, if you break your contract you must pay cancellation fees. Since, car rental companies set their rates based on the rental period, the longer you keep the car the cheaper the daily base rate. If you managed to reserve a car for 7 days using one of these hot weekly specials and then decide to bring the car two days earlier, you might get charged at a default daily rate and your total car rental charge for 5 days might end up costing you more than if you kept the car for 7 days. Therefore, please dont forget to ask a car rental agent if you pay different daily rate for earlier returns.

Mileage

Most car rental companies offer unlimited mileage in metropolitan areas, including all major capital cities (with an exception of Northern Territory) and some tourist destinations. I would suggest checking your contract prior to signing it as it clearly displays whether you get unlimited kilometres or not. Keep in mind though that smaller car rental companies usually charge mileage if you exceed a given daily km quota. In addition some “hot” special rates may not include unlimited mileage, so be sure to check before you sign a rental agreement.

Additional Drivers

Adding more than one driver to your rental agreement often carries a surcharge, anywhere between $7 and $25 per day. Note that some companies, like Avis and Budget, will allow the renter’s spouse or life partner to drive the vehicle for no extra charge — so if both partners are planning to take the wheel, consider renting from one of these providers.

Frequent Flier Fees

Car rental companies often charge a small fee when you request frequent flier miles for your rental. The fee varies by airline, and can range anywhere from a few cents to $2 a day.

Extras

There may also be additional charges for things you had not considered, like infant and child seat rentals, roof racks and other extras. These could run you anywhere from $5 to $25 or more per day, depending on where you rent.
