Are Womens Jumpsuits A Fashion Faux Pas

Jumpsuits for women that were fashionable in the 70’s are making a big back. So many new styles are available that jumpsuits can be worn as casual wear or for formal occasions, in place of the traditional, little black cocktail dress. Places online like GUESS and Metrostyle are great sites to view the latest styles and see if a jumpsuit is right for you.

Full Figured and Petite Women

Choose a jumpsuit that you like and try it on to see if it’s comfortable and the colors and fabric are right for you. Make sure to choose shoes that complement the outfit. Slip-on shoes are fine for a romper, but definitely not for a jumpsuit, especially if it’s for evening wear. A petite woman can wear a jumpsuit but should choose one that isn’t too “busy” or has large graphics, which are overwhelming on a smaller woman. If a petite woman is larger on top or bottom, a two-tone jumpsuit will help to camouflage figure flaws.

Jumpsuits for Women over 40

Women over 40 wonder if the jumpsuits they wore in the 70’s are still something they can wear now that they’re older. For women over 40, something more understated with slim lines will make the over 40 woman look and feel great. For evening wear, a classic black jumpsuit accented with great jewelry will make any woman look and feel special. A jumpsuit that’s strapless or has tiny straps goes well with short crop tops.

Better Appreciate Captain Planet Mullet Hairstyle

Hairstyles are always changing, and the tide of what is popular regarding them is constantly in ebb and flow. Some hairstyles have stayed well under the radar and have managed to survive decades on many different people. One example of this would be the mullet. A key influence in some of the popularity of this style was Captain Planet mullet hair style.

Just in considering the mullet in general, there are all kinds of things to appreciate and keep in mind. However, when you are adding in an iconic cartoon superhero, this requires a little more consideration that just the appreciation of a hairstyle.

You have to first take the time to understand the reference of Captain Planet, if by some chance the cartoon phenomenon of the 1990s eluded you. This was a superhero that fought for the Earth’s cleanliness. A slew of different villains tried to sully the rivers and oceans, litter flowery fields and the like, but Captain Planet would always stop him with the help of his team of adolescent helpers.

Apart from his influence to encourage kids to throw their trash where it actually belongs and to avoid polluting when and where possible, his personal style also inspired kids. Children all over the world were trying out the mullet to be just like Captain Planet and embody just a little bit of his super hero style.

In case the term mullet also eludes you, you need to understand this hairstyle to fully appreciate it. This is a hairstyle that is really a collaboration of two different hairstyles. The first, on the top of the head, is a short and managed professional look. The back of the head allows the hair to grow out as long as it can.

You will likely catch mullets all across the world, as they are still quite popular in certain circles. However, you might be delighted to learn that some of those sporting the mullet first started trying one out after seeing Captain Planet mullet hair styles.

Rewarding Marketing Ideas For Your Cosmetics Business

Whether you offer your own home-made cosmetics, sell cosmetics or a large franchise, or run a cosmetics retail store, a skilled marketing strategy is way to create a winning business. A winning marketing strategy can quickly increase your business and your customers reach if done correctly. Find out some of the best marketing strategies that a cosmetics business can implement to increase business.

Online Advertising

Establish your cosmetics business online to provide potential customers a resource to learn more about what your cosmetics line offers. Customers are very sensitive to the ingredients used in cosmetics, the testing that’s performed, and how certain products benefit the skin. A company website is a great opportunity to showcase the products you sell, special promotions on brands and serums, and the background of your cosmetics business. Offering a transparent business is the best way to bring respect to your product lines and business. Once you create your business website, add your company to local directories for cosmetic businesses and product lines. Link to your website as an opportunity to find out more about the products and find a representative near you. To further establish your cosmetics line or retail business, add a blog to your website that discusses recent trends, makeup tutorials, and reviews on cosmetics brands.

Print Advertising

Cosmetics businesses are always introducing new products for aging, seasonal items, and body care products. Print advertising is a perfect opportunity to reach new customers with information about your products. As an independent beauty consultant or companies like Mary Kay and Avon, your business card is one of your best advertising techniques. Pass out your business cards to everyone you meet and you will be amazed by the relationships you build. Your product catalog is the real selling point of your business. Use a well-designed product catalog to show off your business and attract new customers to your product line, deals, and promotional products. Use catalogs as your mailers, and place that at busy locations where anyone interested can easily grab a catalog. Another great marketing strategy is to build relationships with your current customers by sending out postcards for new specials and products and classes or group parties.

Cosmetics Sign Advertising

Your cosmetics retail store offers customers the opportunity to find all their favorite brands in one great place. To build your business as a respected cosmetics store, use your storefront to set the best impression. Perforated vinyl is ideal for this kind of advertising because it is solid and vibrant on the outside and virtually invisible inside. Window clings are perfect for ever-changing promotions like brand sales and deals or services your cosmetics store might offer like hairstyling, beauty consultants, and wedding packages.

If you are an independent cosmetics business, your sign advertising is a great opportunity to further emphasize your brand. Car signs are the best opportunity to including advertising signs. Whatever form of mobile signage you choose, your advertising should always include your business branding. Your name, contact information, branding colors, and slogan are crucial in building awareness for your business and overall increasing sales.

Anthropologie Clothes My First Impressions

Urban Outfitters seems to be a popular name in retailing, but it wasn’t until last week that I was introduced to Anthropologie. If you haven’t heard, seen, or been in an Anthropologie store, you are missing an experience, I kid you not.
After returning from the store, I dug up some numbers that shocked me. Here’s one that really left an impression: the average Anthropologie shopper spends 80 minutes in the store per trip. Eighty — that’s 1 hour, 20 minutes on each visit. Can you guess how much time the average shopper spends at other retailers? Fifteen minutes. That’s an incredible figure that should describe a bit about the feel of the stores.
Anthropologie was founded to capitalize on patrons of the Urban Outfitters store who outgrew UA’s fashions. As such, the target market for Anthropologie clothing is a 30 to 40’ish sophisticated woman with high discretionary income. Not a bad niche to target!
Ask ten women what they think of Anthropologie and you’ll likely get . . . one opinion! Almost unanimously, people love the store, but aren’t crazy about the prices. Granted, they are high, but for good reason. Anthropologie is extremely selective and exclusive with their clothing lines, and just about everything you find in a store is a limited edition run. Heck, they even have a good number of one-of-a-kind pieces!
These items tend to fly off of the shelves, leaving oddball items scattered about, but that leads to an opportunity for shoppers: namely, sales racks. There are quite a few discounted items if you’re not against searching, which I’m sure contributes to the long shopping visits.
What impresses me the most about Anthropologie clothes is the distinctive styling. Their clothes include a lot of flowery prints, laces, and delicate details, but look classy and sophisticated at the same time. The feeling that I get is that it’s a clothing line for beautiful women who don’t feel they need to reveal half of their bodies to look attractive. Home run, I’d say.
If you’re really looking for a bargain, you can find discount Anthropologie clothing online – not through the Anthropologie store, but through other retailers. I can’t imagine that these items are wholesale, and with the high turnover in clothing, I would doubt it’s made up of last season’s items either, but the price is attractive!
Here’s the bottom line: if you haven’t yet shopped in an Anthropologie store, find out if there’s one in the vicinity. It really is a great shopping experience. But beware of the prices!
